Windowlicka is named Ryan, but he prefer to be called windowlicka. Currently unemployed and waiting to enter university in August and spending most of his time on our favourite game League of Legends. Windowlicka started the game last year march, when his friends started leaving Dota because of the terrible lag. Started off the game playing duo lane without jungler, until he was exposed to the competitive side and he was amazed by it. While in NS he watched LoL competitions on his Ipod and learnt alot from it. He mentioned "Since during this time i was in ns i learnt most of my stuff from VODs from tournaments and analysed alot of stuff in camp like a nerd"
After learning from VOD's Windowlicka's ranked journey began. " I played on weekends and managed to hit 1478 and got stuck there for several weeks and thought i really belonged there.
but then after awhile i got abit fed up and i told myself, heck, i am better than this. soon after i slowly but surely rose up to 1520 and it was an achievement to me".
What advise would you give to everyone trying to raise elo
" i strongly believe if you really want something you should do it, and if you want to rise really, that badly, you will rise. There is no magic to it honestly. just play your best, learn from the pros, and MAKE SURE YOU WANT IT. if you have no passion for the game and expect to do well, i have to say sorry but it won't happen. Solo queue is hell. i know it, you know it, it gets nasty as !@#$ there. but don't let that discourage you because ultimately it WILL reflect your skill level (not always accurately but somewhere there)"
So how is life as a 1800 elo guy? "1.8 is just a number and i use it to joke -alot- (lolbm) among my online friends but ya, it is nothing big to brag about. someone in the world will always be better than you, but you can always strive to achieve the best that you can be."
